Dear Resident
Good evening to you all from the Four Oaks and New Hall Neighbourhood Teams
On this set of shifts your neighbourhood teams have been busy in your community carrying out the following tasks
We have been carrying patrols in Mere Green, Walmley and Wylde Green retail areas deterring shoplifters.
Four Oaks Neighbourhood
Attempt Burglary Clarence Road – Tuesday 19th May offenders have tried to snap locked a rear door between 03.00 and 05.00 hrs.
New Hall Neighbourhood
Car Key Burglaries Marfield Close – Sunday 24th May at 03.00 hrs offenders have snap locked a rear door, entered the property and stolen keys for a Black BMW and drove the vehicle away. Marchmount Road – Saturday 23rd May between 00.00 and 10.00 hrs offenders have snap locked a rear door, entered the property and stole keys for a Grey Audi and drove the vehicle away.
If you do own a keyless entry vehicle, please make sure that your keys are kept in a faraday pouch (always remember to check your Faraday pouch is still working), when at home or out and about, this will stop thieves getting the signal for your vehicle. Using a steering wheel lock is also a visual deterrent.
For more crime prevention advice go to www.westmidlands.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/ or www.securedbydesign.com
Please remember to lock all windows and doors, do not leave keys in your doors, especially if you have a cat/dog flap, before heading out make sure your home looks like someone is in.
Surgeries PCSO Gill Whittingham from the Four Oaks Neighbourhood Team attended the Cosy Coffee Shop, Clarence Road on Wednesday 27th May and St James Church, Mere Green Road on Thursday 28th May for a surgery, giving crime prevention advice and talking to local community groups.
Community Speed Watch A Community Speed Watch was carried out on Walsall Road, six vehicles were recorded exceeding 35mph. Warning letters will be sent out to the registered owners and result sent to our Road Harm Team. Thank you to the local volunteers.
Have a safe week.
Kind Regards Four Oaks and Walmley Neighbourhood Teams
